IWS Rules

IWS rules is an XML markup language extension for manipulating applications description (AD) in the IBM Workload scheduler for z/OS (IWSz).

IWS rules make it easy to automatically check, modify, delete, or create certain parts of AD.

IWS rules can be used in ProcMan processes to provide control of AD according to your internal organization rules such as convention of application names, operation workstation mapping, or run cycle conventions. IWS rules can be executed in any step during ProcMan activities.

This manual describes IWS rules and how to use them for checking, modifying, or creating application descriptions (AD) in the Tivoli Workload scheduler (TWS) and how IWS rules are configured using XML markup language.
