Customization Control-M Module

This document describes the installation, configuration and customization of the ProcMan’s Control-M Module. Control-M is a scheduler software developed by the BMC company.

The Control-M Module allows to define ProcMan processes for handovers of Control-M folder definitions in XML format.

For the communication and the data transfer the Control-M Enterprise Manager Automation API (it is a REST API) is used. This way the module can get information about objects in Control-M, read the folder definitions from, deploy them to and delete them in Control-M.

The module provides customizable validation checks of the folder definitions. It allows transmissions of the folder definitions from one Control-M system to another (staging), applying customizable automatic changes.

The definitions handled by the module are versioned and stored in the ProcMan’s archive. The history of changes can be browsed and versions can be compared at any time.

The module provides also an object browser for viewing the Control-M folder definitions handed over by the ProcMan processes.
