Environment configuration

Data environment is used to specify options that don’t affect the process tree. For IWS the most important part of environment are IWS systems that are used by modules.

Data environment is stored in directly in file etc/hos_config2.php or in PHP files which are included to this file.

Data environment are PHP arrays, where array keys are names of processes, activities and tasks to which data environment is connected.

Common environment settings for all IWS processes

Setting tws_source_system - defines source iws system of iws task

Setting tws_target_system - defines target iws system of iws task

Example snapshot of task made from module m_tws_ad_appl_load that has set source iws system to DEV-TWS, target tws system is set to TEST-TWS.

Environment Settings for ADHOC processes

ADHOC processes (to insert applications in the IWS Current Plan) require settings for editing and checking of JCL scripts

Setting template – templates for JCL scripts are used in adhoc processes, in this setting key 'adhoc_on_demand_%name of subsys%' is the name of JCL template for JCL jobs in ADHOC application,

Example: define JCL template for subsystem TWEC to file HOJOD860

'adhoc_on_demand_twec'      => 'HOJOD860' 

Setting template_dsn_cntl - DSN containing job templates on various Z/OS systems (e.g. hlq.procman.SKELS)

Setting temp_dsn_alloc_site - options used for allocation of temporary datasets
