Beware that the password changing dialog cannot be started for LDAP authenticated accounts.
Beside that the password of a user can be changed in this dialog, it allows also to switch among the ProcMan, the z/OS and the database server authentication methods.
A password can be changed for an account by selecting it in the accounts list form (checking the check-box at the beginning of the table row) and clicking the Password button in the accounts list form. After that a form for changing of the password appears (see picture below).
By clicking the Cancel button, the dialog returns to the accounts list without changing the password.
By clicking the OK button the dialog changes the password for the previously selected user and returns to the accounts list.
The read-only field Name informs about the user name of the account for which the password or authentication method shall be changed.
The check-box Database Login specifies whether the user name and password specified at login shall be verified by the database server. If it is checked, no password is required to be specified for the user in this dialog.
The fields Password and Repeat Password have to be filled with the new password of the user. Both must not be empty and must contain the same text.
In the field z/OS Login a previously defined authentication z/OS system can be selected. (see ). If a system is selected, no password is required to be specified for the user in this dialog.
